Instructions

Step 1
In a large skillet on medium high heat cook meat and chopped onion. Cook on medium high heat just till the ground beef is slightly beginning to brown be careful not to fully cook the beef The chopped onions will be turning translucent becoming tender and soft. Add Salt and Black Pepper. Add the drained Green Beans and the can of Tomato Soup. Mix until combined fully Pour the Beef, onions and Green beans mixture into a well greased 2qt Casserole dish. Peel and cut the Potatoes and place in 2 qt to 3 qt sauce pan filled with water just covering the potatoes Bring to a boil over medium high heat. Boil until the potatoes are tender using a fork you can tell if they are done if it goes into them without resistance. Drain potatoes of the water fully Return to the same pan and mash the potatoes fully. While potatoes are hot add in the warm Milk and the beaten egg then whisk. Mix your potatoes, egg, and milk until the egg and milk are fully combined and smooth with not lumpy. (If you get lumps then the potatoes they were just under done) Season the Potato mixture with Salt and Black Pepper to taste. Spoon the potato mixture into mounds on top of the Beef, Onion, and Green Beans already in the baking dish. Spread the potatoes in a even layer covering the filling. Sprinkle with the Shredded cheese. Bake uncovered at 350° F for about 25 to 30 minutes. cheese will be fully melted and potatoes will start to be slightly browned. Remove promptly from the oven. Allow the casserole to cool/rest for about 15 to 20 minutes Then serve with fresh bread or sliced bread of your choosing.
