Instructions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 375°F. Cook ziti to al dente, drain and set aside. (save the pot)
Step 2
heat oil in a saute pan over medium heat, add onion and cook for about 2 minutes, then add garlic. Let cook for another minute more and add ground beef to pan. Season to your liking. Cook all the way through, breaking into pieces as you go.
Step 3
when beef is cooked, add pasta sauce and bring to simmer. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
Step 4
Add meat sauce to ziti with 1/2 cup parmesan cheese and combine well.
Step 5
Spray 9×13 pan with cooking spray. Pour half the pasta and sauce into prepared pan, sprinkle with mozzarella, then add the rest of the ziti/meat mixture and too with more mozzarella and parmesan.
Step 6
Place on middle oven rack, uncovered and bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until it's bubbling and cheese is melted.
