So easy to make tasty tasty homemade tortillas. A good flour tortilla is supposed to feel like a warm hug from a good friend that you are secretly in love with. So why would you not pick that over store bought nonsense? Enough said.

Instructions
Step 1
Whisk all dry ingredients in a bowl

Fold in tallow and butter til mixed in
Step 3
Pour hot water in a 4th cup at a time. Til dough is shaggy but not too sticky.

Shape into a ball, cover with hot damp towel and let sit for 30m to an hour
Step 5
Prepare smooth surface. I use a wooden cutting board. Spread a thin layer of flour.
Step 6
Set aside a bowl of flour to use while rolling. Shape dough into little lime sized balls
Step 7
Roll into 5-6in discs with rolling pin. every time you roll, put a thin layer of flour to keep it from sticking
Step 8
Cook on a hot cast iron pan that's a lil greased up with butter or oil, about 20s per side or until bubbly and soft
Step 9
If not cooking right away, put flattened uncooked tortillas between parchment paper individually and freeze
