Instructions

Step 1
Mix the ground flaxseeds and water in a small bowl, stir a little and set aside to thicken.
Step 2
Mash the drained/rinsed black beans in a large bowl.
Step 3
Add spices, salt, flaxseed/water mixture and breadcrumbs. Mix well with a large spoon until combined.
Step 4
Form into patties, you should have about 6.
Step 5
In a lightly oiled griddle, pan fry the burgers for about 4-5 minutes on each side. Alternatively you can bake them on a parchment paper lined pan at 350 degrees F, for 15 minutes on each side.
Step 6
Serve on buns with lettuce, tomato slices, onion, pickles, vegan mayo, ketchup or mustard.
