Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F

(175°C). Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.

2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.

3. In another bowl, mash the bananas and mix in the grated apple, sugar, oil, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.

4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Do not overmix.

5. Fold in the almond slices, reserving a few to sprinkle on top for decoration.

6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.

Sprinkle the reserved almond slices over the batter.

7. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

8. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
