Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400. Line baking pan with parchment paper.
Step 2
In a large bowl, combine chicken, egg, 1/2C parm, panko, Italian, garlic, 1.25t salt, and 1/2t pepper. Mix well.
Step 3
Place meat in baking pan, smoosh down to large rectangle the size of the 12-pack of rolls.
Step 4
Bake for 15 mins, until cooked through.
Step 5
Using bread knife, slice the rolls crosswise, leaving them connected.
Step 6
Place the bottom buns on sheet of parchment, sprinkle with 1/2C mozzarella.
Step 7
Place patty on top of mozzarella layer. Spread marinara over the patty, top with remaining 1/2C mozzarella, top with buns.
Step 8
Use parchment to transfer to cooking pan.
Step 9
Coat the top with cooking spray or melted butter. Sprinkle with 2T parm.
Step 10
Cover with foil, bake for 10mins. Uncover, bake for 2min more if cheese isn’t melted or more browning on buns is desired.
Step 11
Slice apart, serve with extra marinara for dipping.
