Tiramisu is a dessert of Italian origin, that blends layers of espresso and liqueur-soaked sponge cake with a filling of mascarpone cheese and is then topped with cocoa powder.

Step 1

In a bowl, place 6 egg yolks with 150 g of sugar. Mix with the mixer until they turn white.
Step 2

Add 150 ml of milk and mix.
Step 3

Transfer the pot to the Bain Marie heat. Cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring continuously.
Step 4

When ready, set the cream aside to cool to room temperature. In a large bowl, place 500 g of Mascarpone cream cheese and 300 ml of heavy cream. Mix with a mixer until a stiff cream forms.
Step 5

After the egg yolk cream has completely cooled, add it to the bowl over the mascarpone cream.
Step 6

Homogenize with the mixer. Set aside until ready to use.
Step 7

In a bowl, place 300 ml of cold coffee, sweetened to taste. Add 100 ml of Amaretto liqueur and stir.
Step 8

Dip 400 g of biscuits one by one in the prepared coffee.
Step 9

In a tray (tray dimensions 30×20 cm) place a layer of half the amount of cookies.
Step 10

Spread half of the prepared cream evenly on top.
Step 11

Place the second layer of coffee-soaked cookies over the cream.
Step 12

Spread the second layer of cream.
Step 13

Place the tiramisu tray in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours or better overnight.
Step 14

Remove the tray from the refrigerator. Dust the entire surface with a layer of cocoa powder.
Step 15

Cut the cake into appropriate portions.
