This crispy chicken recipe is a perfect half-time snack on match day. So crispy “Fried” Chicken is what air fryers were made for! Crunchy and golden on the outside, and tender and juicy on the inside! Thanks to the speedy air fryer this crispy ‘KFC style’ chicken is ready is just twenty minutes.

Step 1
I started by patting dry the chicken pieces with some kitchen roll and then set them aside. The drier you can make the skin, the crispier they will be. Then I measured out 100g of the flour in to two separate mixing bowls.
Step 2
I added the beer into one of the bowls and stirred until I had a thick consistency of batter. In the other bowl I added in the spices, seasoned and stirred well.
Step 3
Start by dipping your chicken pieces into the beer batter first, making sure each piece is fully covered, then follow with your seasoned flour. Continue with each piece and once all your chicken is coated, spray each piece with your oil spray.
Step 4
Next set your air fryer on 190c and placed the chicken pieces into the drawer. Cook your chicken for 20 to 25 minutes, turning them after ten minutes or so to ensure they cook evenly.
Step 5
I served my air fryer crispy chicken pieces with a spicy mayo dip
