Unleavened bread
5 steps
Prep:5minCook:5min
Jesus Christ blessed and brake unleavened bread at passover. He sat with His disciples. Jesus Christ has instituted the sacrament in our day through revelation so that we may "always remember Him" and "always have His spirit" to be with us.
(See Luke 22:19-20; D&C 22:7)
Ingredients:
-Flour for strong foundation (Jesus has a firm foundation. 1 Corinthians 3:11)
-Salt (Jesus is charitable and is the salt of the earth. Matthew 5:13)
-Olive oil (Jesus was chosen before the creation of the earth to be our Savior. He was annointed before the passover with spikenard oil. In the garden of Gethsemane, Jesus was pressed like an olive. He performed the Atonement for us. Olive oil has many healing properties and is very versatile. The Atonement of Jesus Christ is all encompassing, all powerful, and all healing. John 12:3)
-Water (Jesus is the bread of life and living water. John 6:47-51; John 7:38)
In the oven, you scorch the raw dough under the broiler setting for 5 minutes, each side. (The refiners fire. 1 Nephi 20:10)
Take out of oven. You have flavorful, savory, browned bread that is so versatile! (Resurrection and a perfected state. The dough tastes amplified after the refiners fire.)
