Ingredients

For the Chicken:

4boneless skinless chicken breasts

salt
to taste

pepper
to taste

½ cupall-purpose flour
for dredging

2 tablespoonsolive oil

2 tablespoonsbutter
Marsala Sauce
Instructions
Prepare the Chicken:
Step 1
Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
Step 2
Dredge the chicken in flour, shaking off any excess.
Cook the Chicken:

Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Step 4
Cook the chicken breasts for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F).

Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside on a plate.
Make the Marsala Sauce:

In the same skillet, add the mushrooms and sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened.

Add the minced garlic and cook for another 1 minute.

Pour in the Marsala wine and scrape the bottom of the pan to deglaze. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes to reduce slightly.

Stir in the chicken broth and simmer for another 5 minutes.

If desired, add heavy cream for a richer, creamier sauce.

Finish by stirring in 2 tablespoons of butter for a silky texture.
Combine and Serve:

Return the chicken to the pan and spoon the Marsala sauce over the top.

Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes to reheat the chicken and meld the flavors.

Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.
