Ingredients

Hamburger Steak
1 lbground beef
2slices bread
½ tspsalt
¼ tsppepper
2 Tbspketchup
1 Tbspworcestershire sauce
1egg
1 tspgarlic powder
1 tsponion powder
1 tspUmami powder
Sauce
Instructions
Step 1
Use a food processor to grind bread and set it aside.
Step 2
Combine bread crumbs and the other hamburger Steak ingredients into a bowl, mix well.
Step 3
Divide beef mixture into four patties then flattens to ½” thick oval patties.
Step 4
In a large skillet over medium heat, add oil. Add patties and cook until golden and cooked through, for about 6-8 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and set aside to keep warm.
Step 5
In a large skillet over medium heat, add butter. Add onions and sauté until softened.
Step 6
Add salt, pepper, flour and mix well.
Step 7
Add beef broth, water, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, umami powder and thyme. Let the sauce simmer.
Step 8
Return hamburger stakes to the skillet, coat the hamburger Steak with the sauce.
