Step 1
1. Prep the beef – Slice the steak thinly against the grain and toss it with cornstarch. 2. Make the sauce – In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, water, and red pepper flakes. 3. Assemble the slow cooker – Place the beef and sliced carrots (if using) into the slow cooker. Pour the sauce over the beef and stir to coat. 4. Cook – Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 2-3 hours until the beef is tender. 5. Serve – Spoon the beef and sauce over cooked rice and top with chopped green onions.
