Instructions
Step 1
Melt butter on medium heat until melted.
Step 2
Remove pan from heat and whisk in flour. Return to heat and slowly whisk in milk.
Step 3
Continue to whisk until sauce thickens.
Step 4
Remove from heat, whisk in cheese and season with salt and pepper.
Step 5
Bring pot of water to a boil. Cook pasta according to directions while making the sauce.
Step 6
Mix sauce with pasta and serve.
Optional
Step 7
Steam broccoli while cooking pasta. Add at end after mixing sauce and pasta together.
