Ingredients

400gwhole mushrooms
white button or chestnut, cleaned and trimmed

2 tablespoonsolive oil

3 clovesgarlic
crushed

1 teaspoonsoy sauce
optional, for umami

½ teaspoonsalt
adjust to taste

¼ teaspoonblack pepper

½ teaspoondried thyme
or Italian seasoning, optional

1 tablespoonfresh parsley
chopped, for garnish

optional, for serving
Instructions
Step 1
Clean the mushrooms by wiping them with a damp paper towel or quickly rinsing and drying thoroughly. Trim the ends if needed.
Step 2
In a large bowl, toss the mushrooms with olive oil, chopped garlic, soy sauce (if using), salt, pepper, and herbs. Ensure all mushrooms are well-coated.
Step 3
Preheat the air fryer to 190°C (375°F).
Step 4
Place the mushrooms in the air fryer basket in a single layer (work in batches if needed).
Step 5
Cook for 10–12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until mushrooms are golden, tender, and slightly crispy on the edges.
Step 6
Transfer to a serving dish, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and squeeze a little lemon juice on top if desired.
