Gebratener Zander mit Kräutern – Baked Pike-Perch with Herbs

8 steps
Prep:10minCook:15min
A rustic German dish made with Zander (pike-perch), a lean white fish popular in Central Europe. Since Zander is hard to find in North Texas, we’ll use a local substitute like walleye, snapper, or cod, and bake it with fresh herbs, lemon, and butter/olive oil for a light, low-sodium take. 🛒 Where to Shop (North Texas) • White fish: Cod, snapper, or tilapia are widely available at Whole Foods, H-E-B, or Central Market. • Fresh herbs: Available year-round at all major groceries. • Salt substitutes: Sprouts, Tom Thumb, or Natural Grocers. • Parchment paper/foil: If using air fryer oven, this can work too!
