Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 170C. In a large bowl whisk together the brown sugar, syrup, vanilla, melted butter, salt and cinnamon.
Step 2
Add the oats and stir. Add your preference of additives at this stage (fruits, nuts, etc). At this point if the mixture looks a little loose, like its falling apart, then add a tablespoon at a time of syrup or honey until the mixture starts to look sticky
Step 3
Line a large baking pan with baking paper (can also spray with oil)
Step 4
Bake at 170C for 20-40min, stirring every 7-10 min so it cooks evenly and doesn’t burn.
Step 5
Leave to cool and place in an airtight container, remains crunchy for about 2 weeks
