Instructions
Step 1
Prepare tin – Grease and line a slice tin (approx. 28 x 18 cm). Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C fan forced).
Step 2
Make the base – In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, coconut, and cocoa. Stir in melted butter and vanilla until well combined.
Step 3
Bake – Press mixture firmly into the prepared tin. Bake for 15–20 minutes or until firm. Remove from oven and let cool slightly.
Step 4
Make icing – Sift icing sugar and cocoa into a bowl. Stir in melted butter and hot water until smooth.
Step 5
Ice the slice – Spread icing evenly over the warm base. Sprinkle with extra coconut.
Step 6
Set and serve – Allow to cool completely in the tin before slicing into squares.
