Instructions
Step 1
Step 1 – Sauté the seasoning
In a medium saucepan, heat the butter or oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook for about 2 minutes, until it becomes soft and translucent. Then add the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds more, just until fragrant.

Add the rice to the pan and stir well for about 1–2 minutes, allowing it to absorb the flavors and get slightly toasted.

Pour in the water and add the salt. Stir once to mix everything evenly.

Increase the heat to high until the water starts to boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the pan, and let it cook for about 15 minutes, or until all the water has been absorbed.
Step 5
Step 5 – Rest and serve
Turn off the heat and let the rice rest, covered, for 5 minutes. Then fluff it gently with a fork and serve warm.
