Boil the pasta:

Cook the spaghetti in salted boiling water according to package instructions. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water and drain the rest.

Prepare the sauce:

In a pan, heat butter and olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer. Stir continuously.
