Step 1
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla. Sift flour and cornstarch together. Add to butter mixture. Roll out 1/4 inch thick. Cut into cookies or bars. Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool. May be iced, dusted with powdered sugar or left plain. I added strawberry jam to some.
