Instructions
Step 1
Press your tofu, if you can be bothered. But if you don’t have the spoons just pat it dry.
Step 2
Combine marinade ingredients in a bowl or jug.
Step 3
Cut the tofu in about 1.5cm thick sections and add marinade. Let marinade for at least 30 mins in the fridge. (Up to 24 hours apparently, I usually only make it an hour or two).
Step 4
Preheat the oven to 350° F / 180° C.
Step 5
Arrange tofu pieces in a lined baking tray/dish and pour over remaining marinade. (I feel there needs to be a drinking game based on the amount of times I say marinade in this recipe. )
Step 6
Cook for 25 mins then flip tofu and spoon up any excess.. ahem marinade and pop it on the flipped tofu.
Step 7
Let cook for another 20-25 minutes until it looks done. Mine took a little longer as my oven is fan forced and I like it well done.
Step 8
Eat! Well maybe wait 5 so no tongue burnies.
