Use ricotta for a wetter lasagna or cottage cheese for a thicker lasagna. You could do 16oz of each if you wanted.

Step 1
Preheat oven 350°
Step 2
Brown ground beef and ground sausage together in a pan, add seasoning (salt pepper garlic/onion powder) you can sautée and add garlic and onion instead if you want

Add sauce to ground meat

Mix cheese (ricotta or cottage) with 1 egg and seasoning
Step 5
Spread meat sauce in bottom of pan, then cheese mixture, then lasagna noodles (if you buy oven ready, you do not need to pre cook them), meat sauce, cheese, lasagna noodles, and so forth until the pan is full or you run out of ingredients. Top with shredded mozzarella (trust me, shred it yourself, pre shredded will never melt)

Bake on 350° for 30 mins (follow instructions on oven ready lasagna box)
