Step 1
1. Boil egg noodles in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2. In a small bowl, combine cream cheese and sour cream until smooth.

3. In a large skillet with a lid, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain fat, add garlic and Italian seasoning.

4. Stir in tomato sauce, sugar, salt, and pepper. Simmer 3-5 minutes.

5. Remove from heat. Scoop out half the meat sauce and set aside. Over the remaining meat sauce in the skillet, layer half the noodles, half the cream mixture, the reserved meat sauce, remaining noodles, and remaining cream mixture.

6. Sprinkle cheddar cheese evenly over the top.

7. Cover with lid, return to medium-low heat for 5-10 minutes until cheese melts and sauce bubbles.
Step 8
8. Rest 5 minutes off heat before serving.
