Instructions

Step 1
In a wide dish, whisk eggs, milk, vanilla, and spices until fully combined.

Dip each slice for 10–15 seconds per side. You want it saturated but not falling apart.

Heat a skillet over medium with a bit of butter. Cook for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and the center "puffs" slightly.

Sweet Brown Butter

Step 4
Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Swirl it constantly. It will foam up, then you’ll see little brown bits form at the bottom. Once it smells like toasted nuts, remove from heat immediately and pour into a bowl.
