For Meatballs
500gmince
beef or beef/pork mix
⅓ cupdried couscous
⅓ cupwater
hot
1egg
2 clovesgarlic
minced, or 1 tsp garlic powder
0.5onion
small, finely chopped or grated
1 tspsalt
black pepper
1 tspdried oregano
Optional, or basil
cheese

For Sauce
Instructions
Step 1
Prepare couscous
Place couscous in a bowl. Pour over hot water, cover, and let sit for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork.
Step 2
Make meatballs
Add mince, egg, garlic, onion, salt, pepper, herbs, and couscous to a bowl. Mix gently until just combined. Form into golf ball–sized meatballs.
Step 3
Prepare sauce
Preheat oven to 180°C.Pour sauce into a baking dish. If making from scratch, mix all sauce ingredients directly in the dish.
Step 4
Assemble
Place raw meatballs into the sauce. Spoon sauce over each one.
Step 5
Bake
Cover with foil or lid and bake for 25–30 minutes.Remove cover and bake another 10–15 minutes until sauce thickens and meatballs are cooked through.
Step 6
Cook pasta
Boil spaghetti in salted water until al dente. Reserve a little pasta water before draining.
Step 7
Serve
Toss pasta with some sauce. Top with meatballs and extra sauce. Add cheese if desired.
