Instructions
Step 1
Sauté onions in olive oil until deeply caramelized.
Step 2
Mix spices with a little boiling water and add to onions.
Step 3
Add cooked lentils and seasoning to the pan and mix well.
Step 4
Mash some lentils with a spoon to create a sticky texture.
Step 5
Mix olive oil with garlic salt pepper and parsley for brushing.
Step 6
Stuff each pita with the lentil mixture and press firmly.
Step 7
Brush the pitas with the seasoned olive oil on all sides.
Step 8
Grill in a press or pan until golden and crispy.
Step 9
Serve hot with tahini and salad.
