Step 1
Boil the Noodles: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to the package directions. Reserve about 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.

Brown the Sausage: While the pasta cooks, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat with a drizzle of olive oil. Add the sliced chicken sausage and sauté for 5–7 minutes until browned and slightly crisp on the edges.
Step 3
Wilt the Spinach: Turn the heat down to low. Toss the fresh spinach into the skillet with the sausage. Stir for about 1 minute until it begins to wilt.
Step 4
Combine: Add the drained noodles to the skillet. Pour in the jar of pesto and the reserved pasta water (add the water gradually until the sauce reaches your desired consistency).
Step 5
Finish: Toss everything together until well-coated and heated through. Season with black pepper and top with plenty of Parmesan cheese.
