Instructions
Step 1
Scald milk. In small bow set yeast in water with 3 Tbsp. sugar. Add butter, salt, and 1/4 C. milk and cool to 715. When cooled add beaten In large bowl mix milk mixture and 1 cup flour with wooden or slotted spoon. Add yeast and another cup of flour. Beat well. Slowly add each additional cup of flour, 1 cup at a time, beating with a spoon. Dough will be thick but sticky. Cover bowl and let rise to 1/2 hours. Lightly roll dough out. Cut with round cutter. Dip in butter and fold like a purse. Place on baking sheet/ Let rise 2 hour. Bake at, 400° for 15-20 minutes.
