Instructions

Step 1
Prep the boats: Cut the cucumbers in half lengthwise. Take a metal spoon and scrape out the wet center seeds to create a hollowed-out ditch.
Step 2
Dry the boats: Place the cucumbers upside down on a paper towel for 5 to 10 minutes to drain off excess moisture so the garlic butter can stick.
Step 3
Mix the garlic butter: In a small bowl, use a fork to mash the softened butter, garlic powder, onion salt, and dried parsley together until it forms a smooth, savory spread.
Step 4
Fill the boats: Use a butter knife to smear a thick layer of the seasoned garlic butter right into the bottom of each cucumber boat.
Step 5
Layer the Gouda & Roast Beef: Press your Gouda cheese slices flat over the garlic butter layer. (If using Gouda cheese spread instead, you can just mix your garlic seasonings straight into that spread and skip the butter entirely!)
Step 6
Stuff and serve: Take your Buddig roast beef slices, roll them up tight, and pack them firmly into the boat on top of the cheese. Slice into bite-sized wheels or serve whole like a sub.
