Instructions
Step 1
Brown the garlic, onion and carrots in a pan with olive oil for a few minutes.
Step 2
Add in the mince, brown and tip off any excess fat.
Step 3
Add 1 tbsp of tomato puree, Worcestershire sauce 3/4 swigs, beef stock, black pepper and salt.
Step 4
Peel potatoes, cut the potatoes into cubes and boil them in salted water until soft (10-15 minutes). Using Joshua Weismann mum’s classic mashed potato recipe (https://www.joshuaweissman.com/recipes/the-best-mashed-potatoes-2-ways)
Step 5
Using a ricer mash the potatoes. Then add the butter and emulsify.
Step 6
Heat the oven to 160 degrees (fan).
Step 7
Put the mince in the ovenproof dish, top with mash and ruffle with a fork.
Step 8
Bake for 20-25 minutes until the top is starting to colour and the mince is bubbling through the edges.
