A reliable everyday bread machine white loaf with warm water, sugar, butter, salt, bread flour, dsm, vwg, and yeast. Makes a soft, tall 1.5-pound loaf with medium crust.

Instructions

Step 1
Add the liquids: Pour the warm water, melted butter, and sugar into the bread machine pan.
Step 2
Add the dry ingredients: Add the salt and spoon the bread flour gently into the measuring cup to avoid packing it down, then pour it over the liquid. Do this for 2 cups, and then add the wheat gluten, and diastatic malt powder, afterwards add the last cup of flour on top.
Step 3
Add the yeast: Make a small shallow well in the center of the flour and add the bread machine yeast so it stays dry and does not touch the liquid right away.
Step 4
Bake: Insert the pan into your machine, select the Basic/White setting, choose a 1.5 lb loaf size and a Medium crust, and press start.
Step 5
Cool: Once done, remove the pan immediately, turn the loaf out onto a wire cooling rack, and let it cool for 1 hour before slicing.
