Ingredients

1 ¼ cupsnonfat dry milk
¾ cupcornstarch
⅓ cuppowdered chicken bouillon
or vegetable
3 tablespoonsfreeze-dried minced onion
or 1 1/2 tablespoons onion powder
1 tablespoongarlic powder
1 teaspoondried basil
1 teaspoondried parsley
¾ teaspoonblack pepper
mushrooms
Cool slightly, then use in any recipe that calls for condensed cream soup cooked, chicken, broccoli, or celery as you like
Instructions
Step 1
One jar that turns into cream of mushroom, chicken, broccoli — whatever you need for casseroles and sauces.

Dry mix

* 1¼ cups nonfat dry milk
Step 4
* ¾ cup cornstarch
Step 5
* ⅓ cup powdered chicken or vegetable bouillon
Step 6
* 3 tablespoons freeze-dried minced onion (or 1½ tablespoons onion powder)

* 1 tablespoon garlic powder
Step 8
* 1 teaspoon dried basil
Step 9
* 1 teaspoon dried parsley
Step 10
* ¾ teaspoon black pepper

Whisk everything together until no lumps remain. Store in an airtight jar in a cool, dry place for 6–12 months.
Step 12
To make one “can” of soup (about 1¼ cups)
Step 13
1. Stir ⅓ cup of the dry mix into 1¼ cups cold water in a small saucepan.

2. Cook over medium heat, whisking constantly, until thick and bubbly (3–5 minutes).
Step 15
3. Cool slightly, then use in any recipe that calls for condensed cream soup. Add cooked mushrooms, chicken, broccoli, or celery as you like.
