Instructions
Step 1
Boil the macaroni with a splash of olive oil, after 5 minutes start making the cheese sauce and in the meantime grate the cheese
Step 2
While it’s simmering on medium heat, melt the butter in a pot on medium low heat (but don’t let it bubble)
Step 3
Take off heat and stir in the flour until it’s smooth and combined into a paste
Step 4
Put back on low heat and gradually add half the the milk and stir each time, the add all milk and stir on slightly higher heat (still low) until smooth and thick
Step 5
Gradually stir in the cheese on low heat, until the sauce is as cheesy/thick as you desire
Step 6
Drain the macaroni and add to the sauce and stir to combine on a low heat
Step 7
(if it’s too thin (because you didn’t add enough butter and flour) then just add less milk
