Ingredients
8 servings
Chocolate Cake
3 cupsflour
2 cupssugar
½ cupcocoa powder
2 tspnbaking soda
0.5 tspnsalt
2 cupswater
cold
1 cupoil
1 tspnvanilla
Cake Goop
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 320 Fahrenheit
Step 2
Sift each of the dry ingredients into a bowl (flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt)
Step 3
Add all of your wet ingredients into the bowl (Oil, vanilla, Cold water)
Step 4
Use a pastry brush to paint cake goop into two 6" cake pans. Cake goop is just equal parts oil, flour, and shortening that have been combined until a smooth paste has formed
Step 5
Place in oven and bake for 35-45 minutes
Step 6
This step is optional, however it will make your cake extra moist if you wrap it in Saran Wrap once it has slightly cooled down after baking, and leave it overnight
