Instructions

Step 1
1. Please brisket in slow cooker and sprinkle with chili powder, cumin, salt and oregano

2. Whisk water and tomato paste in a small bowl and add to the slow cooker
Step 3
3. Cover and cook on low for eight hours or high for four hours
Step 4
4. Heated medium skillet over medium high heat and add jalapenos
Step 5
5. Cook, shaking the pan occasionally turning the jalapenos with tongs as needed until charred and blistered on all sides, 10-12 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand, covered, for 10 minutes to soften
Step 6
6. Transfer the brisket to a clean cutting board. Shred it, then finally chop
Step 7
7. Slice the jalapenos
Step 8
8. Serve the brisket and lettuce and tortillas top with the jalapenos and cheese
