Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350° F.
Step 2
Line the bottom and the two long sides of a standard loaf pan with parchment paper. Grease the two uncovered sides with non-stick spray or butter. It works best to leave flaps on the 2 sides so that you can easily pull the blondies out.
Step 3
In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and baking powder.
Step 4
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the brown sugar and melted butter.
Step 5
Once creamed, add in the vanilla and mashed banana and cream again. Batter should be lightly colored and fluffy.
Step 6
Add your whisked dry ingredients to the wet and mix with a wooden spoon, or on a low mixer setting.
Step 7
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Step 8
With a rubber spatula, transfer the batter in the loaf tray. Use the spatula to evenly spread the batter.
Step 9
Press the sliced bananas into the top of the batter.
Step 10
Bake for 30-35 minutes.
Step 11
Allow pan to cook completely before removing the blondies.
