Instructions
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2
In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Step 3
Beat in the eggs, one at a time, ensuring each egg is fully incorporated before adding the next. Then, stir in the vanilla extract.
Step 4
In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
Step 5
Gently fold in the chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.
Step 6
Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart to allow room for spreading.
Step 7
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. The centers may appear slightly undercooked but will firm up as they cool.
Step 8
Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the cookies cool on the sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Step 9
Enjoy your freshly baked chocolate chip cookies with a glass of cold milk or share them with your coworkers to celebrate your second last day of work!
