Ingredients
4 servings
1 Tbspolive oil
1 lbsground chicken
or turkey
salt
to taste
pepper
to taste
1 Tbspminced garlic
½ cupyellow onion
diced
¼ cuphoisin sauce
2 Tbspoyster sauce
2 Tbspsoy sauce
1 Tbsprice wine vinegar
1 tspginger paste
1 tspred chili paste
8 ouncewhole water chestnuts
can, drained and diced
2green onions
thinly sliced
1 headbutter lettuce
Instructions
Step 1
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Step 2
Add ground chicken or turkey and season with salt and pepper.
Step 3
Brown and crumble meat, about 3-5 minutes, drain fat.
Step 4
After draining, return to heat and stir in garlic, onion, hoisin, oyster, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, ginger, and chili paste and cook until onions become translucent, about 2-3 minutes.
Step 5
Stir in water chestnuts and green onions, cooking until tender, about 1-2 minutes.
Step 6
Taste and season with salt and pepper to preference.
Step 7
Spoon several tablespoons of mixture into the center of a lettuce leaf and enjoy.
