Instructions
Step 1
Drain, rinse, and mash the chickpeas.
Step 2
Add mayo, soy sauce, rice vinegar, nori flakes, white pepper, and nutritional yeast. Mix to combine.
Step 3
Make rice according to package instructions, and add rice vinegar after cooking.
Step 4
Pick up one handful of rice, place the chickpea mix in the middle, add more rice, and close it up.
Step 5
Squeeze the rice to a triangular shape.
Step 6
Panfry them in oil until golden brown, and brush on some soy sauce mixed with a bit of sugar.
Step 7
Add sliced nori sheets to one edge of the onigiri.
Step 8
Roll exposed edges of the onigiri in rice seasoning.
