Instructions
Step 1
Cook cabbage in boing water for 2-3 minutes just until leaves fall off. Cut the vein from the bottom of each leaf, making a V-shaped cut. Set aside remaining cabbage.
Step 2
Combine beef, pork, 1/2 cup tomato sauce, onion, cooked rice, parsley, salt, dill, and cayenne. Mix well. Place 1/4 cup meat mixture on each leaf; overlap ends of leaf. Fold in sides, beginning from the cut end. Roll up completely to enclose filling.
Step 3
Slice remaining cabbage; place in a baking dish. Arrange the rolls on top a of of cabbage. Combine tomatoes, sugar and remaining tomato sauce; pour over rolls. Cover and bake at 350°F for 1 1/2 hours until tender.
