Instructions

To boil the pasta:

Step 1
Put some hot water in a pan and put it on high heat, add the oil and salt to it.
Step 2
Once your water has started to boil, add the pasta and follow the cooking instructions (time) on the packaging.
Step 3
Make sure not to overcook the pasta as you will cook it twice!

For the shrimp:

Step 4
Add the olive oil, cajun seasoning and paprika to the shrimp.
Step 5
Let it marinate for 5 minutes. Meanwhile put a pan on medium heat and add some olive oil to it.
Step 6
Add your shrimp to the pan and sear them for around 8 minutes. This may vary depending on the size of the shrimp.
Step 7
When the shrimp is nicely cooked on both sides take it out of the pan and let rest on the side.

For the sauce:

Step 8
Add the chopped onions to the same pan that you cooked the shrimp in. Cook till they are slightly translucent and add the minced garlic.
Step 9
Add the heavy cream, black pepper and salt to the pan and switch to high heat.
Step 10
Add the parmesan and mix the sauce. The parnesan helps thicken the sauce.
Step 11
Add the parsley to the sauce, afterwards add the pasta and the shrimp and mix again.
Step 12
Your pasta is ready to serve!
