Step 1
Heat oven to 375 degrees.

Step 2
Cream together 1 cup butter and both sugars. Stir in both eggs and 1 tsp vanilla.
Step 3
Finely grind 2.5 cups oatmeal in a blender or food processor. Combine the oatmeal, 2 cups flour, 1/2 tsp of salt, 1 tsp of baking powder and soda in a medium bowl, and slowly add it to the wet ingredients. Beat just until combined. Chop or grate the chocolate bar and add it, along with 12oz chocolate chips and 1.5 cup chopped nuts to the batter. Mix just to combine.
Step 4
Drop by heaping tablespoonfuls, 2 inches apart, on a greased cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes.
