Instructions
Step 1
1. Combine the yeast into the warm water, let it dissolve.

2. In a separated bowl add flour, sugar, light olive oil, molasses, and salt.
Step 3
3. Mix until dough has formed a ball then knead by hand on a floured surface for 15 minutes. Place in bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Let rise until doubled in size.

4. Cut dough into 6 equal pieces (about 4 oz per piece). Roll pieces into balls then set on a greased baking sheet to let rise for 5 minutes.

5. Form bagels by poking a hole in the center with your thumb. Work the dough around gently expanding the circle making sure to make it even. Placed shaped pieces on a greased baking sheet and let rise for 45 minutes.

6. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Gently drop bagels in boiling water in sets of two. After 1 minute, flip the bagels over and boil for another 60 seconds.
Step 7
7. Place bagels on a greased baking sheet 2 inches apart. Sprinkle toppings of choice (cheese, poppy seeds, pretzel salt, cinnamon sugar, everything bagel seasoning, etc).

8. Bake bagels for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
