Pan Seared Salmon with Crispy Skin

Instructions
Step 1
-Preheat a pan on medium high heat. Add 1 tbsp canola oil
Step 2
-After the oil has been heated, season the salmon with salt and place SKIN side down
Step 3
-Gently press the salmon with a spatula to make sure the skin has full contact with the pan
Step 4
-Cook for 6 minutes then flip
Step 5
-Cook for up to 6 minutes to be fully cooked through. 3 minutes if you want a bit of the salmon to be raw in the middle
Step 6
-Turn heat to low then add 1 tbsp butter and optional aromatics
Step 7
-Baste with butter for a couple of minutes
Step 8
-Let it rest then enjoy!
