General Tso Shrimp w/ Crab fried rice

Tempura batter fried shrimp lathered with a Homemade brown sauce. Served with Jumbo Crab meat and Asian vegetable fried jasmine rice. Garish with a dusting of sesame seed and Enjoy!

For the fried rice
For the sauce
2 Tbspminced ginger
2 Tbspminced garlic
2 cupsseafood stock
2 Tbsphoisin
2 Tbspwhite sugar
2 Tbspsoy sauce
2 tsprice wine vinegar
red pepper flakes
1 Tbspcorn starch
For the batter
Instructions
Step 1
Season your shrimp and let marinate
For the sauce
Step 2
Combine the minced ginger and garlic with the seafood stock, hoisin, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, sugar, and red pepper flakes
Step 3
Mix corn starch with 2 Tbsp water and combine the slurry with the brown sauce. Simmer until thick. Set sauce to the side.
For the fried rice
Step 4
Fry day old rice for two minutes @ med to high heat. Then scramble in two eggs.
Step 5
Add Crab meat (you can use chicken or pork if you like)
Step 6
Add fried rice seasoning and a few shakes of soy sauce for color.
For the Tempura batter
Step 7
Combine 1 cup of cold water with one egg. Mix into 1 cup of flour. Add a pinch of salt for flavor.
Step 8
Coat shrimp In flour first. Dip in the tempura batter. Fry @ 375°F until golden brown
Step 9
Toss the shrimp in the sauce while hot and garnish with sesame seed.
