Cheesy Garlic Steak Toast Sandwich
Ingredients
1 package frozen Texas Style Garlic Cheese Toast
1 green pepper, sliced
1 onion, sliced
12 ounces shaved cheesesteak meat
3 slices Mozzarella cheese
3 slices Provolone cheese
Olive Oil or Butter
Salt and Pepper to taste
Preheat the oven to 350*
Bake the Garlic Cheese bread according to package directions. Set aside to cool
Add some Olive oil to a skillet and heat the vegetables until they have softened and caramelized. Remove from the skillet and set to the side
Brown the cheesesteak meat in the same skillet. Adding a little butter if needed. Remove from the skillet and set to the side.
Place the slices of garlic cheese bread on a tray to assemble. Place a slice of provolone on each slice of bread. Place a serving of the meat and vegetables on top of the provolone cheese. Cover each with a slice of mozzarella cheese. Cover with another slice of the toast
Add butter to the skillet and place one ‘sandwich’ in the pan. Lightly brown on one side, then flip over and brown the other side. When the cheese has melted, the sandwich is done.
