This is my third favorite sugar cookie recipe. It is easy to make and is delicious. It is made with confectioners’ sugar. It is a great old-fashioned sugar cookie. ~ Marilyn Sultar
Yield: 5 dozen 2 to 2 1/2 inch cookies.
Note: If you use Gold Medal Self Rising Flour, omit baking soda and cream of tarter.” ~ Betty Crocker

Step 1
Mix sugar and butter.
Step 2
Add egg and flavorings; mix thoroughly.
Step 3
Measure flour by dipping method or by sifting.
Step 4
Stir dry ingredients and blend in.
Step 5
Refrigerate 2-3 hours.
Step 6
Heat oven to 375 degrees F (quick mod.
Step 7
Divide dough in half and roll to 3/16” thick on lightly floured pastry cloth.
Step 8
Cut with cookie cutter; sprinkle with sugar.
Step 9
Place on lightly greased baking sheet. Bake 7 to 8 minutes, or until delicately golden.
