The Perfect Parisian Sandwich (Not Jambon Beurre)

One of my favourite French bites is a little known gem of buttered radishes. This sandwich is so simple that every ingredient must be the best you can get. Everyone loves a good jambon beurre, but this is a perfect sandwich for laying around with a glass of crisp white wine. Try using a flavoured butter or one of my favourites, black truffle salt.

Ingredients
4 servings

1french baguette

1 bunchbreakfast radishes
washed and trimmed

unsalted butter
High quality, French preferred, room temperature
Coarse flakey salt

freshly cracked black pepper

Instructions
Step 1
Slice your radishes thinly, and set aside. You want to slice enough to shingle over the entire piece of bread.
Step 2
Cut a piece of baguette to whatever size you prefer. Lightly warm the bread if desired.
Step 3
Slather a generous amount of butter onto the bread.
Step 4
Shingle the radishes neatly over the bread. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
