1 bottlestout beer
such as Guinness, note: Dragon's Milk stout is even better, but any stout that is NOT chocolate or coffee flavored will work

8red potatoes

1onion

1 ½ cupsbaby carrots
or 3-4 large carrots

4 cupswater

1green cabbage
small

2 Tbsppickling spice

2cloves garlic
smashed
Instructions
Step 1
Rough chop your vegetables
Step 2
Put the potatoes, carrots,garlic, and onion at the bottom of the crock pot and cover with water.
Step 3
Add the corned beef on top of the vegetables, fat side up. Cover with pickling spice.
Step 4
Pour stout over the corned beef then add chopped cabbage.
Step 5
Cook in the slow cooker on low for 7-8 hours or high for 4-5 hours if you're short on time.
