Instructions

Step 1
Stir together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl. Set the bowl aside.
Step 2
In a different bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract and nutmeg.
Step 3
Add sour cream into the creamed mixture, beat well.
Step 4
Fold in the flour mixture into the bowl, chill the dough overnight, covered.
Step 5
Roll out the dough on a floured surface until the dough is 1⁄2 inches thick.
Step 6
Cut with a large circle cutter and place them on a greased cookie sheet.
Step 7
Gather all scraps of dough, roll them out, and cut out. Repeat until all the dough is used.
Step 8
Bake at 425°F for 10 minutes. You can sprinkle them with sugar before you make them or just frost them when they cooled.
